Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 July 2026

Fearside Stories ("the Game", "we", "us") is an interactive horror game. This policy explains what information the Game and this website handle. The short version: we do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect or sell personal information.

1. Information we do not collect

The Game has no accounts, no login, and no user profiles. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, or location. We do not use advertising networks, and we do not sell or share any data with data brokers.

2. Information stored on your own device

To let you continue where you left off, the Game saves a small amount of data locally on your device only. This includes:

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us. You can erase it at any time by clearing the app's storage, or by uninstalling the Game or clearing your browser data for the web version.

3. Store reviews

The Game may invite you to rate it. If you choose to leave a review, that interaction is handled entirely by your device's app store (for example Apple's App Store or Google Play) under their own privacy policies. We do not receive any personal information from this process.

4. This website

This website is served through Firebase Hosting, a service provided by Google. Like virtually all web hosting, Firebase automatically records standard technical request information — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — in server logs for security and reliability purposes. This is handled by Google as described in the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation and the Google Privacy Policy. This website itself sets no advertising or analytics cookies.

5. Children

The Game contains horror themes and is intended for a general mature audience. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.

6. Your rights

Because we do not collect or store personal information about you on our servers, there is no personal data for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf. Any data the Game keeps is under your control on your own device. If you have questions about your rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, you may contact us using the details below.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Game after a change means you accept the updated policy.
